SN 255159. Cal .38 WCF, 4-3/4″ bbl, blue and case colored finish, 2-pc Staghorn grips. Bbl has standard 2-line address and cal marking on left side. Frame has 2-line patent mark on forward left side with rampant Colt in circle to the right. SN matches on frame, trigger guard and backstrap. Cyl and grips are not numbered. Loading gate has assembly no. 3068. Frame has assembly no. 3061 that may be a factory mistake. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Good. Revolver has been cleaned overall and retains a steel gray patina with some staining on the bbl. Bbl marks are sharp. Front sight has been trimmed. Bbl has muzzle wear, especially of left side. Bore is frosty with strong rifling. Frame, trigger guard, and backstrap have sharp markings. Frame has slightly round edges from polishing. Cyl is steel gray with some heavy pitting in the flutes.
