*COLT SINGLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER WITH TWO PIECE STAGHORN GRIPS.

SN 204245. Cal .45 Colt, 5-1/2″ bbl, blue and case color finish, 2-pc Stag-horn grips. Bbl, ejector rod, cyl, screws, base pin, and trigger are all post-war Colt parts. Bbl has Colt address on right side and cal mark on left side. Bbl has thick high front sight. Frame has a 2-line Patent address on forward left side with rampant Colt in circle to the right. SN matches on frame, trigger guard, and backstrap. Hammer has coarse knurling with border and is polished bright on the sides. Cyl has rampant Colt stamped on rear face. Accompanied by a Colt Factory letter showing original shipment in cal 38/40, 4-3/4″ bbl, blue finish, grips not listed. Shipment was to Bering and Cortes Hardware Company in Houston, Texas on January 15, 1901 in a 10 gun shipment. PROVENANCE: The Brad Shepherd Collection. CONDITION: Very good as totally refinished. Bbl and ejector rod have 95% blue with muzzle wear on either side. Markings are sharp. Frame has 50% re-case color finish. Patent mark is sharp. Colt logo is faded. Trigger guard and backstrap have 50% re-blue finish with most of the wear on grip straps. Cyl has 90% blue finish with high-point wear and slight dried mark. Action needs repair. Grips are very good with no losses. A Six Shooter that was shipped to Texas and rebuilt after WWII. 50062-9 C&R (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1328
