CASED COLT MODEL 1851 SQUAREBACK NAVY REVOLVER. SN 2865, all matching including wedge. Cal. .36, 7-1/2″ oct. bbl, in an American case with green velvet lining containing a slant charger flask, bullet mold, screw driver/nipple wrench and Eley cap tin. The case does not have the normal inner wood liner. CONDITION: 80% thinning blue on the bbl. Light case hardening colors on the sides of the frame, slightly darker in the capping notch. Hammer and loading lever are mostly gray; the backstrap and trigger guard have about 95% of original silver. Grips have light wear and chipping to the finish around the bottom with a small chip missing on the left toe. Mechanically tight. The case top has some wide scratches and a few dents. The interior is badly worn from the sights and hammer, the latter gouging a large hole in the side of the case. The charger on the flask is a replacement. Flask has faint traces of finish and some minor dents around the bottom but is generally fine. 4-46499 FS270 (15,000-20,000)
