SN 2571. Cal. 10 ga. 2-7/8″ Cham. 30″ extra fine Damascus bbls with Lindner “Crossed Cannon” proofs, choked Full/Full, marked “CHARLES DALY EXTRA FINE LAMINATED STEEL BARRELS/DIAMOND QUALITY”. Bar action locks exquisitely engraved with detained game bird vignettes and fine foliate scroll work and intricate border designs, finely sculpted and engraved dolphin hammers. Sculpted fences with horned bosses. Checkered double triggers. Top lever is painstakingly sculptured and finely engraved with locking set screw. Trigger bow features vignette of hunting dogs and similar foliate scroll work. Extra fine highly figured European walnut, splinter forend with horn tip, forend iron with intricate scroll work and borders. Semi-pistol grip stock with bone cap, carved and checkered horn buttplate with Daly monogram. Gold initial shield at top of grip. 14-1/4″ LOP. CONDITION: Very fine as professionally restored. Lovely rebrowned bbls with strong pattern ring like church bells. Action body a smooth silver gray w/traces of orig color in protected areas. Trigger bow is smooth silver patina. Forend and stock are sound with a few light scattered rubs and handling marks. Buttplate is a little loose. Bright bores with scattered light pitting throughout, mechanics crisp, action tight.
