SN 1823. Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Cham. 28″ bbls, choked IC/Mod, French nitro proof. Rib marked “CHEVALIER A PARIS”. Case colored sidelock action adorned with full coverage engraving of tight English scroll work surrounding floral bouquets, arcaded fences, cocking indicators, side clips, articulated double trigger. Top lever with gold crown and royal seal. Rich dark streaked walnut, splinter forend, straight grip. 14-1/2″ LOP over solid red pad. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Very fine as partially restored. Bbls retain virtually all of their fine blue finish with a few minor rubs and areas of light oxidation. Receiver retains most of its orig case hardening color.
