MT. WASHINGTON ROYAL FLEMISH 1546 COAT-OF-ARMS PITCHER.

Royal Flemish pitcher is decorated with a stylized coat-of-arms in green and gold, having shield with helmet, crown, and lion holding a 1546 banner, the reverse having a gold shield with two black fleur-de-lis, all set against a cream, rose and burgundy background panels with gilded trim. The vase is further decorated with applied twisted rope handle and flared rim with stylized floral decoration on burgundy background. A ewer with similar decor is pictured in Mt.Washington Art Glass by Betty Sisk, p178. Unsigned. SIZE: 10″ t. PROVENANCE: From the Unreserved Collection of Mrs. Jackie & the late Dean Ballard. CONDITION: Applied handle has been separated and reattached with glue, and there is minor wear and loss to some gilding, otherwise very good. 50421-24 (500-1,000) – Lot 1307
