UNMARKED FRENCH FASHION DOLL POSSIBLY LATER JUMEAU.Bisque socket head incised “3” with rosy complexion, large blue inset glass eyes, closed mouth, with multi stroke eyelashes and thick heavy brows reminiscent of Jumeau painting. The head swivels on a separate bisque shoulder which is attached to an all leather body with mitten style hands and straight legs. The 1880s style costume is made of lavender taffeta and white braid trim and tassels. The elaborate mohair wig is most likely original as are the flat soled brown leather slipper. SIZE: 12-1/2″ t (32cm).
