*PIOTTI BOSS OVER-UNDER SIDELOCK EJECTOR GAME SHOTGUN WITH TEAGUE CHOKES.SN 9682. Cal. 12 ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers. 29-1/8″ Demi-bloc bbls fitted with Teague chokes are engraved “Flli PIOTTI ITALY” on left side of top bbl which is fitted with narrow hand matted game rib. Bbl flats are stamped with 2001 Italian nitro proofs and with SN and makers name. Coin finished, low profile, OU action with hand detachable sidelocks (hidden takedown flap in left lockplate), features non-automatic safety, gold line tumbler end cocking indicators, gold plated pins, and dbl triggers (front articulated). Action is engraved with near full coverage small shaded scroll with a scattering of rose and acanthus sprays through scrolled background. Engravers signature (G. Ranetti) is on trigger plate. “PIOTTI” in gold, is in forend iron mortise. Single beaded trigger guard with matching scroll has SN in gold on tang. Wonderfully marbled and lightly figured dark European walnut round knob pistol grip buttstock measures 15″ over skip line checkered wood butt, with well cut point pattern checkering on semi diamond grip. Matching full ejector forend has Anson type release. Gun is one of a pair with “I” in gold on rear of bbl rib, top lever, and forend tip. Bore diameter: top -.726, bottom – .727. Bore restrictions: Teague chokes. Drop at heel: 2-3/8″, drop at comb: 1-7/16″. Cast about 1/4″ off. Weight: 7 lbs. 8 oz. LOP: 15″. PROVENANCE: Factory proof certificate with specifications for this gun. CONDITION: Excellent, showing very light field use. Bbls have sharp edge wear. Action has some darkening of coin finish on lockplates. Stocks have relatively minor marks in their orig finish. Checkering lightly worn.
