Watercolors on paper. 1) Three Horses in Landscape, Housed in a silver painted wood frame under glass Signed and dated with monogram lower right “19 KK 24”. 2) Two Horses on Beach with Seagulls, Housed in a giltwood frame under glass, Signed and dated with monogram lower right “19 KK 27”, bears label from “Wald. Stallknichts Eftf., Kobenhavn” on cardboard backing. 3) Two Ducks by the Sea, Housed in a modern green frame, matted under glass, Signed and dated with monogram lower right “19 KK 41″ SIZE: 1) 19-1/2″ x 24-3/4″. Overall 21″ x 26-1/2″. 2) 19-1/2″ x 25-1/2″. Overall 21-1/2″ x 27-1/2″. 3) Sight 8-3/4″ x 11”. Overall 13-1/2″ x 15″ PROVENANCE: Downeast Maine home, descendant of Knud Rasmussen, famous Danish arctic explorer whose “greatest achievement” was the massive Fifth Thule Expedition (1921–1924) being sold unreserved. CONDITION: 1) Ingres paper, overall discoloration, foxing and pest holes lower right. Frame has losses. 2) Overall discoloration, tear upper left corner. 3) Very good.
