Oil on canvas Housed in an early 20th century giltwood frame Initialed lower left “FDR” Note: A framed letter dated 1875 addressed to J DeB. Richards, Esquire from Gebbie Barrie accompanies this lot. In the letter Mr. Barrie, a Philadelphia bookseller, praises the painting “Pikes Peak” and proposes an exchange for books SIZE: 12″ x 16″. Overall 17-1/4″ x 21-1/2″ CONDITION: Canvas has been trimmed and lined, with minor discoloration and spotty varnish, paint surface very low in places, otherwise fair 52099-32 (3,000-5,000) – Lot 1293
