Oil on canvas Housed in a contemporary goldtone frame with linen liner Signed lower right “Ol Wieghorst” Note: “2C” noted beneath the signature references the Quarter 2C Ranch in Arizona where he worked as a ranch hand. He adopted this brand as his insignia SIZE: 24″ x 20″. Overall: 27-3/4″ x 23-3/4″ PROVENANCE: From the artist to a private New York collection, 1936-1939, then by descent to the present owner. The paintings were authenticated, titled and signed by the artist at his home in Jensen Beach, Florida, in April 1986. The paintings are photo-registered with O. Wieghorst Productions, El Cajon, California. CONDITION: Good, pigment inconsistency on retouch to point in sky 52055-3 (8,000-12,000) – Lot 1286
