TWO WEDGWOOD LUSTRE BOWLS.

Lot consists of two Wedgwood Lustre bowls. The larger bowl has a pearl lustre interior with center medallion and three flying insects surrounding the bottom of the bowl. Interior is finished with a gilded Oriental influenced border with shaded blue behind the gilding. Exterior of the bowl is finished in mottled brown and purple with gilded figures of a gift with bow, a cup with paintbrushes, a scroll tied with a ribbon, and others. Vase is signed on the underside with Portland Vase mark “Wedgwood England Z4830”. Smaller bowl has a flame lustre mottled interior with a gilded bird in flight and a top border of stylized birds with spread wings. Exterior is decorated with colorful birds in flight against a mottled blue background. Bowl is finished on the exterior with gilded band of geese in flight. Singed on the underside with Portland Vase mark “Wedgwood England Z5294”. SIZE: 6-1/2″ dia & 3-7/8″ dia respectively. CONDITION: Both are very good to excellent. 5-68940 (1,250-1,750) – Lot 1285
