RARE U.S. NAVY CONVERSION OF COLT MODEL 1851 REVOLVER.

SN 61868. Cal. 38. This honest well fit, complete, original, authentic and all matching example of very scarce U.S. martial Navy revolver. Pistol has proper U.S.N. on buttstrap with small sub-inspector letters stamped on most other parts of gun. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Gun is overall good to very good with smooth gray/brown patina with scattered light pitting and strong traces of bright original finish in protected places. SNs all matching including grips and cylinder on rear face though number before conversion is stamped “8367”. Grips have hand worn patina and chip on inner left toe. Buttplate screw is replaced.
