WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE MOORISH/SMOKE & RIBBONS BOWL.

Fairyland Lustre octagonal bowl is decorated in the Moorish pattern on the exterior with mauve colored pillars separating each of the eight panels. Each panel is decorated with a green stylized tree or fountain all set against a midnight lustre background. Interior of the bowl is decorated with Smoke & Ribbons pattern with each panel separated by a tall column with stylized flowers at top. The title panel has fire pit with ribbons of smoke rising into the sky with a body of water and castle on a distant shore in the background. Other panels show fairies sitting at the shoreline gazing out to the distant shores. Bowl is finished with a band of purple wisteria descending from the lip. Marked on the underside with gold Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood Made in England” and “Z5125”. SIZE: 8-1/2″ dia. PROVENANCE: Betty & Leonard Issod Collection.
