WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE JUMPING FAUN BOWL.

Fairyland Lustre octagonal bowl is decorated on the interior with the Jumping Faun pattern and depicts a black faun jumping from a tree with numerous fairies, imps and other characters surrounding the river bank. The alternating black and brown trees have bluish-green leaves with a violet willow behind. The interior bottom of the bowl is finished in a round medallion with gilded fish having purple faces against a blue background with center circle of multicolored flowers. The exterior is decorated with the Woodland Elves IV pattern with clusters of gilded trees with a fairy flying between and spider webs in the background. Other fairies can be seen at the base of trees and the trees lead to green and maroon foliage. Signed on the underside with Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood Made in England”, “Z5462″ and carries an Issod Collection paper label. SIZE: 8-1/2” dia. PROVENANCE: Betty & Leonard Issod Collection.
