Oil on canvas Housed in a good partial gilt carved wood frame Signed lower right “Edouard Cortes” On verso is a Harry F. Marks Galleries New York & Palm Beach label NOTE: An interesting characteristic of Cortes’ painting technique is that he uses the (pinhole) vanishing point perspective. In using this technique all imaginary lines of perspective seem to converge. This creates the perspective of the viewer to be consistent and to be true to the scene.
