STUNNING BRU JNE BEBE.

Beautiful early bisque socket head with pale blue paperweight eyes, open/closed mouth with definite molded tongue tip, deep dimple in chin, multi-stroked blonde eyebrows, mounted to separate bisque shoulder plate with realistically molded breasts. Head is unmarked, however, the shoulder is incised on the left side “Bru Jne” and on the right side “No. 11”. She is on the original all leather body with gusset joints at the hip and knees and still retains much of her original paper label on the front of the body. The upper arms are metal and wood with leather covering and the forearms are made of bisque and have a joint at the elbow. She wears her original mohair wig with bangs, a pink silk and lace dress made of antique fabrics and antique leather slippers and red knit socks. SIZE: 28″ t (71 cm). PROVENANCE: The Madelyn Trotter Collection. CONDITION: Very good. Cork pate is tightly glued to head however doll’s head has been inspected and no obvious damage has been found. 1-14442 (17,500-22,500) – Lot 1265
