LOT OF THREE 1930S ERA EUROPEAN CLOTH DOLLS.The two larger dolls are made by Chad Valley and have blue glass eyes, swivel necks, and are dressed like guards at Buckingham Palace, one in Scot’s clothing, the other as a Beefeater. The smaller doll is an Italian Lenci-type dressed as an 18th century soldier. Inside the torso is a candy container. No markings found on this doll. SIZE: Larger are 17″ t (43cm), candy container 14″ t (35cm). PROVENANCE: The Madelyn Trotter Collection.
