WEDGWOOD FAIRYLAND LUSTRE NAZAMI PLATE.

Fairyland Lustre plate is decorated in the Nazami pattern with a garden scene of four men dressed in brightly colored clothing; one man kneeling on a prayer rug, another playing a stringed instrument with brightly colored trees in the background set against a black ground. The bright turquoise rim of the plate has a black, white and gilded Wellington border. Signed on the back with Portland vase mark, “Wedgwood Made in England” and “W2191”. An identical plate is pictured in the book Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre: The Work of Daisy Makeig-Jones by Una des Fontaines, pg. 258, plate 70. SIZE: 10-3/4″ dia.
