SN 01810. Cal. 44. 9″ bbl with German silver front blade sight, left side marked “A. Uberti & C. Gardone V. T. Italy”. Right side marked “SMLS Inc.-Angleton-Texas”. Also marked “US/1847” over wedge screw. Six shot cylinder with excellent Indian fight scene, case hardened frame and hammer, blued trigger, backstrap and butt. Case hardened loading lever. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbl retains 90-95% bright orig blue with minor flaking on top and on left side. Cylinder retains 97-99% orig blue with a couple of light areas of flaking and toning. Frame and hammer retain most of their orig case hardening. Backstrap with approximately 60% orig blue toned from orig owner’s palm print. Brass trigger guard is excellent.
