Beautiful bisque socket head incised “Bru Jne 5” with bulbous blue paperweight eyes, open/closed mouth with definitive tongue tip showing and pouty upper lip, turned-up nose with highlighted nostrils and pierced earlobes. The separate shoulder plate has realistic modeling and has similar markings as the head. The body is the desirable Chevrot style with kid over wood upper arms with jointed bisque lower arms and wooden lower legs. The blond mohair wig and cork pate are most likely original. She wears an elaborate two piece antique white cotton and lace dress, shoes are black leather and are impressed on the soles “8CM”. SIZE: 16″ t (41cm). PROVENANCE: The Madelyn Trotter Collection.
