Please Note: Examining an earlier image of this exact lamp (sold at Christies in 1980) we have identified four “dead men” leading that were present in 1980 and are not evident today. The workmanship is unbelievable and undetectable. If not for the earlier photo, we wouldn’t have known.

TIFFANY STUDIOS PEONY CHANDELIER.

Tiffany Studios chandelier has large leaded glass shade with pink, white and amber peony flowers with drapery fabric forming some of the petals. The flowers are surrounded by mottled green leaves all set against a blue background with several confetti glass panels adding depth. Shade is finished on bottom and top with bronze beaded trim. Signed on the inside rim “Tiffany Studios New York 603-13”. Shade is complete with contemporary hanging hardware with period-correct sockets in the six socket cluster. This exact shade is pictured in Tiffany at Auction by A. Duncan, pg.107, fig.290. SIZE: Shade 28-5/8″ dia. Lamp is approximately 57″ from ceiling to bottom of shade. PROVENANCE: Christie’s, May 1980, Lot #299. CONDITION: Shade is very good to excellent with some tight hairlines, most of which are very inconspicuous. 51088-32 (50,000-70,000) – Lot 1250
