*RARE REMINGTON MODEL 81 “POLICE GUN” SEMI-AUTO RIFLE.

SN 18771. Cal. 35 REM. 22″ shrouded bbl. Sporting bead front sight, flat top rear sight. Left side of receiver is marked “POLICE GUN – PROPERTY OF / SHERIFF DEPT. NO.40 / LOS ANGELES COUNTY”. “SAFE” marking with red highlight. Removable 15-round magazine SN to gun, marked “Peace Officer Equipment Co / St. Joseph Mo.” with patent number and “35 Cal” marking. All markings, model designation and SN filled with yellow highlight. 11-1/4″ heavy forend. Plain pistol grip stock. Correct sling swivel eyelets. Remington steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very good plus. Retains nearly all of the factory blue with minor handling marks and nicks and areas of light oxidation. Magazine in excellent condition with nearly all of its blue with only blue loss from insertion into receiver. Buttstock is sound, factory finish with minor bumps and bruises from police use.
