EARLY ENGRAVED CHALICE.

Early chalice has round foot with beveled edge and engraved floral border. Foot supports a faceted stem which in turn supports the faceted bowl of the chalice. Bowl is engraved with a royal crest surrounded by scrolls and flower baskets. Back of chalice has a standing lion with one paw on a shield and the other holding the Cross of Lorraine. Engraved over the top of the lion is “IUSTITIA ET CLEMENTIA”. SIZE: 10-3/4″ t. CONDITION: Very good to excellent. 7-74853 (600-800) – Lot 1249
