EARLY 6 OVER E.J.

Fine early Jumeau with pale bisque on an eight ball-jointed, straight-wristed, marked Jumeau body. Doll retains her original skin wig which has not been fully removed for inspection of bisque head. She has amber paperweight eyes with a hint of mauve shadowing and fine pale uniform bisque. Dressed in antique clothing with marked shoes, Paris with a bumble bee and the number 8 impressed on sole. Composition body is in original finish and overall very fine plus, one foot at sole has chipping paint loss. Minimal wear to hands and fingertips. A desirable and highly sought after early Jumeau in basically as found untouched condition tucked away in this collection for decades. SIZE: 17-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: The Madelyn Trotter Collection. CONDITION: As stated above. Slight whiteness to tip of nose. Bisque head has been closely examined and appears to be free of any hairline damage, but as stated above, original skin wig has not been fully removed.
