ORIGINAL PHOTOGRAPH OF JOSEPH BRIGGS AND AN ORIGINAL TIFFANY INVOICE.

Original photograph shows Joseph Briggs and his wife Elizabeth. Briggs was the last President of Tiffany Studios and was an important designer for Tiffany Studios over his four decade employment with the company. The photograph has a hand written story about the photograph on the backside by Elizabeth, it reads “This picture was taken on our 10th wedding anniversary by Mr. Diamond. I liked your father in it just like he used to look. So I took Joe out of this frame to put this in, as I wanted to look at it. I had been crying, we had been quarreling …… having picture taken, then came down from Elmsford to get them taken. Poor Joe started in on the way down.” It is also inscribed by one of the children and dated 3/17/75, “This is my mother & father, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph Briggs-My father was last owner president of Louis C. Tiffany’s Joseph A. Briggs”. The photograph is accompanied by an original Tiffany & Co. invoice stating that a lamp, shade and card had been shipped. Invoice is dated June 9th, 1910 and signed Tiffany & Co. SIZE: Photo 5″ x 7″. Invoice 7-3/4″ x 5-1/8″. CONDITION: Photo is very good to excellent.
