A charming Kewpie type German doll on a five-piece composition body. Doll appears to be all original and with original finish to body. A cute little fellow with a top knot and side knots above each ear. He has brown glass sleep eyes (head stuffed) and the typical impish grin with a watermelon smile. A nice doll, especially in this larger size. The doll appears to be in original, as-found condition. Nice uniform bisque without any chipping to the tufted hair knots, which are usually susceptible to damage. SIZE: 9-1/2″ h. PROVENANCE: The Madelyn Trotter Collection.
