FINE EARLY GRADE-2 LC SMITH DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 10ga. Wonderful damascus bbl shotgun with 32″ fine pattern bbls, matted rib with case colored receiver and lockplates. It has very nicely figured wood with fine checkered black tipped schnable splinter forearm. Buttstock has Prince of Wales, checkered round knob grip, 14-1/4″ over an early LC Smith hard rubber buttplate marked “THE/L.C.SMITH/TRAPGUN” with a dog and falling duck. Lockplates have a simple arabesque pattern in the middle with the LC Smith name engraved at the front. It has extractors and dbl. triggers. SN 20541. CONDITION: Near excellent. Bbls retain 93-95% fine strong brown damascus pattern. Receiver and lockplates retain 75-80% original case colors, strong on the lockplates and in sheltered areas covered with a coating of old, dry oil. Wood is sound and retains 93-95% bright original varnish. Bright shiny bores with a few spots in the left bbl and scattered light pitting in the right bbl.
