COLT 1860 ARMY 4-SCREW FRAME.

SN 1692. Cal. 44. 7-1/2″ bbl with German silver front-sight. 1-line Hartford bbl address. 6-shot cylinder originally with Ormsby naval scene. Frame has “Colts Patent” stamped on left side and 4-screw variation. Brass front strap and trigger guard, iron back strap, and 1-pc walnut grip. Wedge and wedge screw appear to be modern replacements. As is the large frame screw and butt screw. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Fair. Bbl, cyl, frame with pin-prick pitting. Minor bumps and bruises and scratches throughout. No cyl scene is remaining. Back strap with even brown patina and salt and pepper pitting.
