COLT 1860 ARMY 4-SCREW FRAME.SN 1692. Cal. 44. 7-1/2″ bbl with German silver front-sight. 1-line Hartford bbl address. 6-shot cylinder originally with Ormsby naval scene. Frame has “Colts Patent” stamped on left side and 4-screw variation. Brass front strap and trigger guard, iron back strap, and 1-pc walnut grip. Wedge and wedge screw appear to be modern replacements. As is the large frame screw and butt screw. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Fair. Bbl, cyl, frame with pin-prick pitting. Minor bumps and bruises and scratches throughout. No cyl scene is remaining. Back strap with even brown patina and salt and pepper pitting. Hammer spring is broken. Bore is fair with staining and pitting. 49973-77 JSL94 (1,200-3,200) – Lot 1238
