SCARCE COLT 1860 ARMY IRON GUARD CIVILIAN.

SN 168018. Cal. 44. 8″ bbl, German silver front blade sight bbl marked “Address Col. Colt London”. 6-shot rebated cylinder. Frame marked Colt Patent on left side. 3-screw variation, 1-pc walnut grip, iron back strap and trigger guard. SN on frame, trigger guard, and bbl assembly with small “L” suffix. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: About good. All metal services are an even brown patina finish with scattered pin-prick pitting and minor corrosion. Loading lever appears to have some minor blued finish added. Mechanics are very good. Bore is fair. A scarce variation of the Model 1860. 49973-110 JSL87 (1,500-3,500) – Lot 1235
