LEADED DRAGONFLY SHADE ON A TIFFANY LIBRARY BASE.

Dragonfly shade done in the manner of Tiffany Studios has conical shade surrounded by seven large dragonflies. Dragonflies have blue/purple glass wings and green and blue bodies. Each dragonfly is finished with round amber cabochon glass eyes. Dragonflies are set against a mottled green and yellow glass background which is further decorated with large oval amber glass cabochons. Shade is signed with a spurious “Tiffany Studios New York” small tag. Shade rests on a Tiffany Studios bronze library base with statuary finish. Base is completed with a four-socket cluster and heat cap. Signed on the underside “Tiffany Studios New York 532”. SIZE: Shade is 20″ dia. Lamp is 24-1/2″ t. CONDITION: Shade is very good with very few tight hairlines. Leading has been stripped to bare metal. Interior leading showing some minor breaks and old solder repair. Base is very good with pitting on riser; missing three set screws. Patina on sockets do not match. Minor wear to patina. Rewired with old plastic cord. 49777-7 (5,000-7,000) – Lot 1227
