*TORKELSON DOUBLE BARREL SHOTGUN. Cal. 12ga. Scarce and unusual box lock shotgun with 30″ bbls, choked CYL/IMP-CYL. Receiver is game scene engraved with ducks on the left side, partridge on the right side and pheasants on the floorplate with light arabesque pattern engraving surrounding and the markers name on both sides. It is fitted with extractors and single selective trigger. Wood is very nicely figured straight grain walnut with checkered splinter forearm and semi-pistol grip stock, 14″ over a checkered hard rubber buttplate. SN 14458. CONDITION: Excellent. Bbls retain 95-96% strong bright rust-blue with a few spots of surface rust. Receiver retains 95-96% strong bright case colors. Wood is sound and retains about all of a fine professionally restored finish. Bores are bright and shiny and probably have been honed.
