COLT 1851 U.S. NAVY WITH CALIFORNIA SLIM JIM HOLSTER.

SN 70102. Cal. 36. 7-1/2 oct bbl with brass cone front bead. 1-line N.Y. address. 6-shot rnd cyl with Ormsby’s Naval Battle Scene. Left side of frame marked Colt’s Patent U.S. 3-screw frame, 1-pc walnut grips with remnants of cartouches remaining, brass front and backstrap. Housed in a period black leather California style Slim Jim holster. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Good. Bbl with scattered corrosion and pin-prick pitting. No orig finish remains. Cyl with approx 30% scene remaining. Replacement wedge. Frame, hammer, and cyl, with scattered staining and corrosion. Grips are very good. Minor bumps and handling marks, cartouche as noted above. Holster is good. Leather with drying craquelure. Bore is dark with pitting.
