SCARCE MARTIALLY MARKED COLT 1851 NAVY NAVY REVOLVER.SN 58799. Cal. 36. 7-1/2 oct bbl, brass cone front sight with New York City bbl address, 6-shot cylinder with Ormsby Naval battle scene and 3-screw frame not cut for shoulder stock. Left side of frame marked “Colts Patent” with “U.S.” A large iron guard and backstrap with 1-pc walnut grip. Butt marked “USN/JLH”. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: All matching SNs, all metal surfaces retaining an untouched even brown finish with no factory orig finish remaining. Grips are excellent with very good fit. Minor losses at butt and toe, but overall as they left the factory. Cylinder scene is approximately 20-30% visibile. Mechanics are very good as is bore. 49973-134 JSL (1,200-3,200) – Lot 1215
