EARLY GAULTIER BEBE.

Pale bisque socket head with brown glass paperweight eyes, closed mouth with highlighted lips, pierced ears, incised “F.7.G.”, and mounted on a separate bisque shoulder plate which is in turn mounted to a leather body with gusset joints at the elbows hips and knees. The distinctive bisque forearms seem to be in excellent condition with no signs of repair. Appropriately dressed in a 1880s style costume and wearing a replacement brown mohair wig. SIZE: 18″ t (46 cm). PROVENANCE: The Madelyn Trotter Collection. CONDITION: Old hairline crack has been restored on upper left forehead. 1-14471 (2,500-3,500) – Lot 1215
