*THIRD INFANTRY ISSUE VICKERS DUTCH LUGER PISTOL.

SN 3584. Cal. 9mm Luger, 4″ bbl, with “1916” date on top and full SN on bottom. “VICKERS/LTD” on center toggle link. Crown/W on left receiver. “RUST” marked safety. Brass plaque on left frame marked “3-INF.I/22” (3rd Infantry weapon #22). Grip safety. Numbered parts on gun are matching except for toggle pin and course checkered Indonesian Arsenal replacement grips. Proper Dutch wood bottom magazine with reinforcing metal spring clip. PROVENANCE: The Estate Collection of Phil A. Bleakney, Jr. CONDITION: Very good, retaining 98% Dutch Arsenal blue and straw. Grips are worn with some small chips and have darkened. Magazine body has small areas of rust and scattered corrosion. Bore is worn with light pitting. Wood bottom has nicks and dings. Mechanics are good. 49059-168 BWS (2,000-3,000) – Lot 1214
