*VERY FINE PRE-WAR WINCHESTER MODEL 70 CALIBER 220 SWIFT.

SN 4796. Cal. 220 Swift. Manufactured in 1937 with 26″ bbl with blue finish overall with Lyman receiver sight, early wing type safety on matching bolt. Traditional checkered Winchester stock with proper metal checkered buttplate. CONDITION: Exceptional overall with most all blue finish remaining on receiver. Stock has had a slight additional coat of finish applied and is very difficult to discern from factory. Trigger guard has slight finish loss from period flaking. Bore and mechanics are excellent. Receiver ring has the proper two holes for scope mount and bridge of receiver has none. A very fine example of a pre-war Model 70. 50989-13 TDW (1,500-2,500) C&R – Lot 1210
