This stone lithograph paper sign features an image of the original White House in Washington, DC circa 1802, flanked by 23 oval portraits of US presidents. The last president is Benjamin Harrison who occupied the White House from 1889-1893 which would be the approximate date this sign was produced. Printed by Schmidt & Co. Lithographers, 9 & 11 New Chambers St., N.Y. for the Julius Ellinger & Company cigar factory which was located at 1322 West 9th Avenue, Tampa, Florida. SIZE: Image: 22″ w x 28″ h. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: Very good to excellent; some watermarking concentrated to the right margin. 1-14682 (400-600) – Lot 1204
