*SUPER RARE STANDARD WEIGHT BBL WINCHESTER PRE-WAR MODEL 70 BOLT ACTION RIFLE IN 375 H&H.SN 3269. Cal. 375 H&H Mag. Early rifle fitted with 24″ standard weight bbl. Bottom of bbl marked “32”, “375” and “MNS.” The Rifleman’s Rifle by Rule states that it is believed only 10 rifles in this caliber were made with 24″ standard weight bbls. Front sight is a Lyman 31W on smooth ramp with hood. Rear sight is style 22G. Action has H&H length receiver with cloverleaf tang and pre-war safety. Bolt body is numbered to rifle. Straight comb walnut stock with 22 lpi hand checkering and sling swivels. LOP 13-3/4″ over Hawkins ventilated red recoil pad. PROVENANCE: The Jon Roark Collection. CONDITION: Bbl and action retain nearly all of its rust blue refinish. Stock finish shows scattered scratches and handling marks. Very good bore. 50387-5 DS (9,000-14,000) – Lot 1196
