SN 406. Cal. 410 ga. This rare set contains a Winchester model 20 single bbl shotgun that has a full 26″ choke bbl with brass bead and standard markings. 2-1/2″ chamber. Walnut buttstock with uncapped pistol grip and snap on schnable tip forearm. Winchester marked hard rubber buttplate. Accompanied by orig black fiberboard carrying case with green oilcloth lining. Included is a Winchester “Midget Hand Trap” with wooden handle. Three full boxes of Winchester Super Speed 2-1/2″ .410 shot shells in yellow and red boxes. One box skeet load #9’s and two boxes #5 shot. In large bottom compartment of case is an orig Winchester picture box for 100 midget size clay targets with nice graphics on top and complete end labels. There are nine miniature targets marked Mossberg/Targo. Partial pad of orig Winchester score sheets and trap shooting outfit description brochure. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Jim Baldwin. CONDITION: Good. Bbl retains its orig blue which is beginning to brown, areas of thinning and wear from use. Bright bore. Receiver has much of its orig bright factory blue with wear at high edges and handling marks from use. Small scratches and dings. Trigger guard is toning to brown patina. Stock and forend with orig factory finish. Small bumps and bruises on forend. Buttstock is nicer than average with scattered handling marks commensurate with use. Buttplate is excellent. Gun is tight. Mechanics good. Forend latch weak. Exterior of case is about average for age. All hardware is present and oxidized. Brown leather-wrapped handle may be replacement but has age. Interior compartments are good with some deterioration to areas of lining. Top lid divider slightly out of shape. Interior straps are good with one loose in right side compartment. Shell boxes are sound, slightly dirty and show case wear. Clay target picture box is good with edge soiling and is missing small portions of its label. Hand trap in fair condition with oxidation on metal, handle very good. Pad of score sheets have yellowed and some separated.
