RARE AND FINE COLT BABY DRAGOON PERCUSSION REVOLVER.

SN 10776. Cal. 31. Very nice complete original and authentic all matching Colt Baby Dragoon made in 1849, with the longest and most desirable 6″ bbl. This gun conforms to other Baby Dragoons in markings and configuration. PROVENANCE: The Estate of G. W. “Bill” Stewart of Sonora, Texas. CONDITION: Overall very good to fine. All matching SNs including wedge. Markings are all crisp and discernible. Bbl retains about 10% bright blue finish in protected areas with balance in mottled gray/plum, hints of case color can be seen in frame and hammer, otherwise matching silver/gray. Cylinder is crisp showing virtually all of rolled Dragoon and Indian fight scene. Stops on cylinder are crisp and single safety pin is intact. Brass backstrap and trigger guard retain about 70% original silver plate. Grips are sound and well fit with hand worn patina and about 70% original factory varnish. 49973-117 JS (3,500-5,500) – Lot 1182
