*SUPERIOR WINCHESTER MODEL 21 TRAP SKEET GRADE 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN.

SN 6274. Cal. 20ga. 2-3/4″ Chambers, 26″ bbls marked “MODEL 21 – WINCHESTER – 20 GAUGE” on top of right bbl with Winchester address on top of left bbl. Bbls are marked “WS-1” and “WS-2” as choke marking on underside. Winchester proof marks on bbl flats with all other standard markings. Concave matted rib with Bradley type red front bead and metal center bead. Beavertail forend with kidney-shaped checkering pattern. SN marked on forend wood and iron. Blued Model 21 ejector receiver with “TRAP SKEET” marking on floorplate ahead of trigger bow. Winchester slg selective trigger. Gun is mounted in highly figured feather-crotch grain walnut with straight grip. 3 point grip checkering pattern with checkered side panels. Fluted comb. Chocolate brown solid after-market recoil pad. 14-1/2″ LOP over solid pad. DAC 1-3/8″, DAH 1-7/8″. Non-automatic safety. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: Excellent. This spectacular gun retains almost all of its factory blue. Bbls show very miniscule handling marks and minor loss under forend from forend attachment. Bores are bright, shiny and unpitted with no dents or dings. This gun’s receiver has nearly all of its orig factory blue with loss to the top side of right breech ball which shows slight amount of very light oxidation and pitting. Hinge pin screw shows blue loss. Floorplate exhibits very fine minor blue loss from flaking. Factory blued top lever has very minor flaking. Top tang retains all of its blue. Trigger bow retains much of its factory blue with some browning at front and going to grey patina throughout grip area. Buttstock and forend retain much of its orig factory finish with dulled area at grip and forend hold points. May have had some had some light wiped-on finish added. Checkering area is vivid yet exhibits slight wear. Very small dents on underside of buttstock grip area between checkering panels and a scuff/abrasion at top heel of stock. Recoil pad remains in fine condition and blends with the gun nicely. Top lever slightly right of center. Gun is tight, operates crisply, ejectors kick with authority.
