IDENTIFIED BRITISH BAYONET. For Martini-Henry rifle. Marked on scabbard “2/88” over a crown that has been over stamped with the number “7” and also has the Canadian issue mark. The throat of the scabbard is marked with the Canadian issue mark plus a crown over “E/7”. These markings also appear on the back of the 21-1/2″ blade along with others. The marks identify the unit of issue as the 50th Regiment; the Gordon Highlanders of Canada. CONDITION: Fine. 4-46129 FS746 (200-250)
