SN 500979. Cal. 10ga. Chambers 3-1/2″, 30″ bbls with solid matted rib and single brass front bead. Factory marked 4/4 (FULL/FULL). Splinter type forend with ebony inlay at tip. Engraved #2 style ejector action with game bird scenes on right and left sides; generous engraving on top and bottom of action, as well as trigger bow. Dbl triggers. Nicely figured American walnut buttstock with capped pistol grip. 14-1/2″ LOP over hard rubber buttplate. DAC 1-1/2″, DAH 2-3/4″. Automatic safety. PROVENANCE: Remarkable William Larkin Moore Private Estate Collection of Fine Sporting Arms. CONDITION: This is a very lovely example of a high condition Ithaca graded 10 magnum. These massive bbls retain nearly all of their factory blue with sharp engraving line at breeches. Bores are bright and unpitted. No dings or dents. Receiver retains a majority of its orig color, fading at carry point at bottom of receiver. Trigger bow faded blue. Clean screws. Stock is an amazing piece of flame figured walnut; Grade 2 style checkering sharp and crisp. Buttstock and forend finish may have been treated to a light professional enhancement. Very minor handling marks. Top lever slightly right of center. This shotgun is tight, mechanics operate crisply.
