*MARLIN 1894 SADDLE RING CARBINE “TRAPPER” MODEL WITH 15″ BBL.

SN 423099. Cal. 44WCF. 15″ rnd bbl. Marbles rear sight. All features standard for this model. This carbine is known as a Trapper model because of the exceptionally short bbl. These Marlin carbines have been exempted from NFA regulations by BATFE. PROVENANCE: The Timothy Scott Collection. CONDITION: Very good for this type of carbine as most saw serious use. Bbl retains 20% blue in protected areas with some staining and slight pitting on right front side. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Marbles rear sight is in very good condition. Receiver is gray-brown patina overall with some bright blue in protected areas. Saddle ring has been removed. Lever and hammer are a gray-brown patina. Stocks are good with numerous dents and scratches and show an old varnish re-finish. Buttplate and bbl band are gray-brown patina.
