*L.C. SMITH 410 FIELD GRADE SHOTGUN.SN FW201556. Cal. 410. 26″ bbls, 3″ chambers, Full/Full chokes. Twin metal beads. Raised matted rib. Splinter forend. Featherweight non-ejector receiver. Double triggers. Capped pistol grip. Hard rubber buttplate. LOP 14″, DAC 1-3/8″, DAH 2-1/2″. Non-auto safety. PROVENANCE: Accompanied by L.C. Smith factory letter confirming configuration and ship date March 12, 1943. The L.C. Smith Collection of Gerald Basham. CONDITION: Solid overall condition. Bbl retain orig blue with thinning from carry at breeches. Assorted handling marks. No dings or dents. Bores are clean and bright. Receiver retains a light amount of orig case color on sides and top. Bottom is silver from carry. Some screws show turning. Trigger bow is silvered from carry with some blue remaining. Stock and forend show light renewed finish. Checkering slightly dulled.
