*LATE PRODUCTION POST-WAR L.C. SMITH FIELD GRADE LIGHTWEIGHT SHOTGUN.SN FWS56304. Cal. 410 ga. 28″ bbls. 3″ chambers. F/F chokes. Single sighting plane solid rib. Single bead. Splinter snap on forend. Extractors. Field grade lightweight non ejector receiver. Double triggers. Capped checkered pistol grip. Hard rubber buttplate. LOP 14-1/4″. DAC 1-3/8″. DAH 2-3/8″. Automatic safety. PROVENANCE: Estate Collection of Jim Baldwin. CONDITION: Very fine. Barrels retain nearly all of late production color blue, with very minor loss at muzzles. Several very small areas of blue loss on right bbl side approx 13″ from muzzle. A few very minor handling marks. Bores are bright. Receiver and top lever retain near perfect spectacular case color with mix of blues, putty and magenta hues. Trigger bow with bright blue, with finish loss at edges, and silvering on lower tang. Tang screw turned. Forend & buttstock have a like new appearance with low gloss finish and crisp clean checkering. Grip cap is fine and buttplate has tiniest blemish at tow. Top lever far right.
