HANDEL EXOTIC BIRD BOUDOIR LAMP.

Handel reverse painted shade has brightly colored exotic birds in orange, green, yellow and blue feathers perched on a tree limb with shaded green foliage against a mottled yellow and brown background. Exterior of shade is finished in chipped ice. Signed on interior edge “Handel 7073” along with artist initials which are illegible. Shade rests on a Handel boudoir base with floral design surrounding the foot and simple stem leading to single socket. Base is done in a silvered finish. Unsigned. Shade is pictured in the book The Handel Lamps Book by Hibel, Hibel & Fontaine, pg. 241. SIZE: Shade 10″ dia. Lamp 16-3/4″ to top of finial. PROVENANCE: Dr. Mark Jackson Collection.
