Additional information: Great news! It has come to our attention that this exceedingly rare machine was evidently manufactured by Hercules around 1933-34. It is purported to have been a trade stimulator or cash payout machine. This is perhaps one of the only known surviving examples.

PATRIOTIC WARTIME “BUY AMERICAN” BALL DROP GAME.

Unfamiliar with this particular machine, it has an Art Deco style cabinet yet obviously the theme was 1940s with the Buy American, the eagle on the front, and “American Business”. Premise is the same as the Kicker Catcher, the coin was deposited,. lever on left side of machine would raise ball to opening at top, and cascade down a series of pins & nails. The object was to move the star & catch the ball and accumulate points. Typical nonsense claiming the machine was for amusement only, no gambling. Scores ranged from 100-1000 points depending on how many balls were caught. A professional high grade, high gloss restoration to the cabinet. Machine is in functional working order, and the interior play field appears to be in remarkable original condition. No indication as to maker. SIZE: Approx 16″ w x 19-1/2″ t. PROVENANCE: The Estate of Carol and Jerry Soling. CONDITION: As stated above. 1-14634 (700-900) – Lot 1141
