*FANTASTIC 32″ VENTILATED RIB L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE EJECTOR 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN.

SN RE94583. Cal. 12 ga. 32″ bbls, ventilated rib, twin beads. 2-3/4″ chambers, Full & Full chokes. Beavertail forend with banjo release. Automatic ejectors, Specialty Grade ejector receiver. Left lockplate engraved with pair of quail in cover. Right lockplate engraved with duck flying over marsh. Scroll engraving top and bottom areas of receiver. Hunter One Selective Trigger. Nicely grained walnut stock with capped pistol grip. LOP 14-1/4″, DAC 1-1/2″, DAH 2-1/8″. Hard rubber buttplate. Non-automatic safety. Accompanied by factory letter which describes this gun as configured with all of the options available in 1927. Gun was finished March 3, 1927. PROVENANCE: The L.C. Smith Collection of Gerald Basham. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain nearly all of their blue, very minor handling marks. One small abrasion on underside of left bbl, hardly noticeable. Bbls are undinged and undented. Bright unpitted bores. Receiver retains a generous amount of fading orig color. Engraving is sharp. Fine screws. Trigger bow has nearly all orig blue. Stock and forend remain in wonderful condition with sharp checkering and strong finish. Top lever right of center. Gun is tight and operates crisply. Strong ejectors.
